Glady’s is a Caribbean eatery in the Crown Heights area of Brooklyn, NY. The vibe is definitely homey. Great hang out spot for friends on the weekends looking to mostly drink but also munch on good food. The menu is made up of different simple, sharing-friendly plates of meat. Plus some solid sides like fried plantains, rice and peas, and festivals. Rhum lovers will definitely appreciate this place. Glady’s has a great variety. So whether you’re Haitian, Jamaican, or Bajan. You’ll be able to sip on something that reminds you of home.
We went on a Saturday evening. The place was relatively busy but there was no wait. We didn’t wait forever on the food either and the staff was attentive.
The food was solid. Not the most authentic..definitely not life changing. However, it definitely meets expectations given the price (which is very affordable). I enjoyed it. I ordered the Seitan and my date had the jerk chicken. I enjoyed the seitan. Honestly, it was some of the best I’ve had. Great option for my vegan loves.
