SUMMARY
Cheryl’s Global Soul is a casual little spot in Prospect Heights that serves comfort food from all over, hence the word “global”. However, I would describe their brunch as simple and straight forward. The menu is simple but prepared excellently. I’ve been here for brunch at least 4 times which makes this place my most visited restaurant for brunch in NYC.

EXPERIENCE
I’ve been here on weekend mornings. I usually arrive between 9am-noon. There is no wait. I pick this spot when I want a cozy environment, good food, and I want to avoid the crowd. Also, you’ll find a good neighborhood crowd here which is on one reasons why I really like it. Early Sunday mornings are quiet and relaxing. I bring a book and sip on their coffee. You can bring a friend or you can come alone. I’ve done both and had a great experience. I’ve heard that it is busier for dinner, but I love the brunch vibes here.
FOOD
Like I stated earlier, the brunch/breakfast menu is simple but the food is prepared excellently. The highlights of the menu are the Brioche French Toast with Caramelized Apples, and Chantilly Cream and the home fries. Also, their porridge was a pleasant surprise.
